About the project
“Business with Integrity” is a three-year initiative implemented by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) North Macedonia, co-funded by the European Union and KAS. The project aims to strengthen the culture of integrity, transparency and responsible business conduct among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in North Macedonia, and to support companies in becoming active leaders in the fight against corruption.
Project objectives
- Support small and medium-sized enterprises in implementing integrity standards, compliance mechanisms and ethical business practices.
- Reduce corruption risks in procurement, operations and management.
- Improve cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises, state institutions, civil society, academia and the media.
- Support alignment with EU standards on transparency, compliance and anti-corruption.
By providing knowledge, practical tools and opportunities for cooperation, “Business with Integrity” aims to contribute to a business culture in which integrity is not only a principle, but a practical advantage and an essential part of sustainable growth.
About the Konrad Adenauer Foundation
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) is a German political foundation. Through its programmes and projects, it actively contributes to international cooperation and communication. The basic principles of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s work are freedom, justice and solidarity. KAS is a political foundation closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).
About the web platform
“Business with Integrity” is a practical digital platform created to help companies understand, develop and apply integrity in everyday business. The platform offers practical information, educational content, tools, guides, templates and resources that help companies recognise and reduce corruption risks, establish good practices and build a more responsible and transparent way of working.
Who is it for?
The platform is primarily intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in North Macedonia, regardless of the sector in which they operate. It is useful for owners, managers, employees and professionals who want to improve integrity and compliance practices in their company.
The platform is also open to public institutions, business and professional organisations, civil society organisations, experts and other interested stakeholders working to promote a transparent, responsible and ethical business environment.
How can it be used?
The platform can be used as a place for learning, practical support and connection. Users can access educational materials and training, use practical tools and templates, assess their company’s readiness and practices, and receive guidance on how to improve them.
Companies will be able to follow current training, events and support opportunities, learn about the SME Medal certification process, and find out more about the Clean Business Alliance and ways to get involved.
The platform is designed as a practical resource that can be used at every stage of developing a company’s integrity system – from a first introduction to the topic, through self-assessment and learning, to introducing concrete policies and practices.
